A Sober Curious Journey: Finding Balance, Wellness, and Community
A New Year, A Fresh Start: Supporting a Sober Curious Journey
As the new year begins, we’re reflecting on how far we’ve come. 2023 brought immense challenges that tested us deeply—personally and professionally. With hard truths, accountability, and support, we’ve embraced the work needed to heal, rebuild, and refocus on the life and business we love.
That journey began with our first Dry January. It was a turning point, filled with both hope and challenges. It marked the beginning of a commitment to honesty, resilience, and connection—values that are now central to how we live, work, and grow.
A year later, we’re in a new place. One built on trust, a commitment to mental and physical wellness, and support from a community of mentors, friends, and customers. Your encouragement means everything to us. Whether you’ve been with us for a while or are just discovering Trefoil Gardens, we’re grateful to have you here.
If you’re exploring Dry (or Damp) January or fostering a healthier relationship with alcohol, we want to support your journey.
Here are some incredible resources we recommend:
@the.herbalhedonist is hosting Instagram discussions around abstinence and mindful use. Check out her masterclass, ALT/ered: Herbs to Get You High, for a natural, healthy perspective on mind-altering experiences.
@thelittlesoberbar offers alcohol-free cocktails, beers, wines, and their unique Sober Curious herb line to elevate your mocktail experience.
And from our own collection, we’ve curated a special “Sober Curious” bitters bundle. Choose three of the following bitters to save while supporting relaxation, clarity, and balance:
Elderflower: Sweet and floral, with honeysuckle and pear notes.
Mimosa: Sweet and subtle, easing tension and fostering mood stability.
Holy Basil: Spicy and bittersweet, promoting calm, focused energy.
Skullcap: Bitter and vegetal, traditionally used to relax the mind.
Passion Flower: Bitter and earthy, offering calming support for exhaustion.
Milky Oats: A daily tincture to restore the nervous system, fostering resilience and calmness—especially helpful for those transitioning away from caffeine, tobacco, or alcohol.
Looking for more tools? NPR recently highlighted apps designed to support initiatives like Dry January by providing personalized goals, behavior-change tools, and community support. These apps have shown promise in helping individuals reduce alcohol consumption and build mindful habits.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Whether you’re sober, sober-curious, or simply curious about incorporating herbs into your wellness routine, we’re here to help.
Here’s to a fresh start, together.
