Nurturing a Garden, Mobilizing a Community

Trefoil Gardens has become a key player in improving food access in Woodstock through the Georgia Fresh For Less program, which doubles the value of SNAP benefits (food stamps) for their neighbors. The garden has worked for five years to make fresh, locally grown food more accessible to low-income families, partnering with the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market and other vendors to offer this benefit. Although recent changes to their USDA SNAP authorization threaten the continuation of the program, Trefoil Gardens is committed to bridging the gap by offering discounted produce and supporting local efforts to restore the program, ensuring continued access to healthy food for the community.
