At Trefoil Gardens, we prioritize sustainability and integrity in every aspect of our operations. Unlike conventional practices, we refrain from purchasing plant starts, opting instead to propagate our own from seeds, division, and cuttings. Our preference for Open Pollinated varieties allows us to preserve biodiversity, and we diligently save seeds from these varieties whenever feasible.

While we do incorporate hybrids into our selection, each is carefully chosen based on its unique attributes, ensuring there are no viable substitutes available. It's important to note that we never use GMO seeds, including CMS Cell Fusion Hybrids, as part of our commitment to natural and ethical farming practices.

In our ongoing efforts to minimize our environmental footprint, we've taken significant steps towards self-sufficiency. This year, over 50% of the potting soil volume we'll utilize has been meticulously crafted on our farm, further reducing our reliance on external resources. For the remaining balance, we source materials with sustainability in mind, prioritizing eco-friendly alternatives wherever possible.
