The BEST food travels the SHORTEST distance.

Dear Friend,

Thank you for helping us launch this new service offering. First- for our loyal produce, flower, and botanical customers: we want to make sure you know that we are NOT abandoning farming in favor of consultation! Rob is simply transitioning to a less- active role on the farm, providing opportunities to young, up-and-coming farmers to take the reigns. We still intend to offer high-quality, locally-grown goods at our farmstand and the Downtown Woodstock Farmers’ Market. If you have any questions or concerns about what that means, please reach out!

In addition to a lifetime of gardening and 10+ years of professional farming, Rob holds an Associate of Horticulture with certifications in Landscape Design and Horticulture from Chattahoochee Technical School.
He is a Georgia Certified Landscape Professional and Plant Professional, and has completed the Georgia Journeyman Farmer, Beekeeping, and Egg Candling certificate programs.
He has taught Organic Farming and Apiary Studies at both the College and University level, and holds a Permaculture Design Certificate from the Permaculture Institute.
Before he became a professional farmer, Rob worked for years in the Georgia Green Industry, selling and installing landscape design projects from $3,000 to $100,000+.
Our design service is an extension of our own farm- a gateway to wholesome and fresh food for our greater community.

What to Expect

  • After you fill out the form, below, we’ll begin with a 20-minute phone call in which we’ll broadly discuss your hopes and dreams for your outdoor living space. Within 1 week of a signed Memorandum of Understanding, we’ll do a site visit where we’ll collect data and soil samples for our Comprehensive Site Report.

It’ll take about 10 business days to get back the soil sample data, after which we’ll schedule a 1-hour sit-down meeting to discuss how your site can be aligned to your vision, and offer suggestions for adjustments or additional appropriate enhancements. 30% deposit due. From here', we’ll begin the design phase…

  • Your initial design will usually be submitted for review within 14 days of site meeting in a virtual meeting. Once a finalized revision is agreed to, we’ll do a site meeting with you (and the installing contractor, if applicable and “Vision to Plan Intensive” package is not included) to go over the plan and put paint on the ground. 50% payment due on “Custom Design and Guidance” package.

  • Some projects may be more complex and require a Master Plan, along with a little more intense and focused planning. If necessary, this phase will follow the “Custom Design and Guidance” phase, and the pattern will be extended and enhanced, with revisions, consultations, and meetings as needed to satisfy site requirements. 50% payment due on “Vision to Plan Intensive” price upon completion.

  • Whether you DIY or hire a contractor, and hire us to manage your project or utilize our online virtual coaching support, we’re here to help the installation process go smoothly and stay on schedule. If things start to feel too complicated in “virtual mode” you can always opt-in to our in-person consultation services.

  • Final balance payment and a referral letter. Schedule and perform video interview for Trefoil Gardens marketing materials.

    Complete customer experience survey.

Be informed. Be in control. Every step of the way.
