About your instructor:
Katherine Sussman was first introduced to yoga at just five years old—though her P.E. teacher never called it yoga. Years later, after the profound loss of her daughter in her late twenties, she found her way back to the practice through books and home study. The first time back on the mat, something clicked—she realized not only had she done these movements before, but that she felt completely at home. That was 25 years ago, and she’s been practicing, breathing, balancing, and meditating her way through life ever since.
With over two decades in healthcare, Katherine is passionate about helping people stay well and avoid unnecessary medical intervention. She’s a certified Yoga Teacher, Holistic Health Coach, Somatic Life Coach, and Kambo Practitioner, with a grounded, heart-centered approach to healing. While she loves a soulful, meditative Vinyasa flow, she also embraces the slower, deeper work of restorative yoga, Yoga Nidra, and therapeutic movement.
When she’s not on the mat or working with clients, you’ll find her with her husband and their sharp-minded and loving German Shepherd, reading, exploring nature, or planning their next adventure.
